Responsibilities

Develop software for turnkey machine vision systems using Cognex VisionPro machine vision software and hardware.
Evaluate and select lighting and optics for imaging front ends.
Integrate machine vision systems with robots and automation equipment, including calibration, image acquisition, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Travel to factories and production sites to install, support, qualify, and prepare systems for production.
Provide technical supervision at machine builder and contract manufacturer sites when needed.
Prepare standard operating procedures for machine vision setup and troubleshooting.
Communicate with internal and external customers and provide daily project status reports.
Design experiments, analyze data, solve difficult technical problems, and develop reusable vision tools for other engineers.
Create calibration schemes and vision program frameworks and learn new technologies quickly.

Master’s degree in engineering or a related field such as computer technology, automation, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
Solid machine vision system knowledge and experience.
Proficiency in C++, C#, or VB.
At least five years of automation equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and support experience.
Windows programming capability is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and project follow-up skills.
Good English reading and writing skills; spoken English is preferred.
Willingness to travel and work in factory environments, including possible assignments in Shenzhen and Shanghai.

Frequent travel and possible temporary work in different cities or regions, including Shenzhen and Shanghai, are required based on support needs.
