Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks.
- Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
- Review automation scripts and test results for adherence to standards and best practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools for requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Document defects, test results, and project status updates.
- Drive continuous improvements in automation practices, testing processes, and software quality.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and required experience with Java; Python is an advantage.
- Expertise with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG automation frameworks.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, reusable automation frameworks and testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted software testing and tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Windsurf.
- Knowledge of performance testing, mobile automation, cross-browser and cross-device testing, containerized testing, application security testing, and automation reporting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Maven, Gradle, NPM, k6, JMeter, Gatling, Appium, Detox, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Docker, Kubernetes, OWASP ZAP, Allure Reports, or Extent Reports is advantageous.
- Graduation is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and proactive-working skills.
