Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of ML-, LLM-, and GenAI-powered agents supporting planning, multi-step execution, self-correction, and human or agent collaboration.
- Build reasoning pipelines, RAG retrieval systems, and knowledge graph integrations for autonomous task execution and network troubleshooting.
- Build, fine-tune, or adapt LLMs, multimodal models, and specialized agent models, integrating traditional AI/ML and statistical models.
- Drive end-to-end development from prototype to production with emphasis on scalability, reliability, safety, observability, and performance.
- Establish practices for prompt design, agent memory, tool usage, and context optimization.
- Lead technical design for the AIOps platform and contribute to core backend rearchitecture and platform-level services.
- Evaluate agent frameworks, LLM tooling, and generative AI technologies to guide architecture and roadmap decisions.
- Mentor engineering teams and integrate services with adjacent ecosystems such as Prisma Access and Cortex.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade ML, GenAI, or agentic workflows deployed at scale.
- Strong Python experience for AI/ML and professional Go or Java experience for backend microservices.
- Hands-on SQL experience, including designing and restructuring BigQuery schemas.
- Experience building and managing scalable data pipelines using Dataflow, Google ADK, and GKE.
- Understanding of retrieval systems, RAG, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and statistical modeling.
- Ability to build platform-level services that integrate with adjacent ecosystems.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of L3-L7 networking is desirable.
