Responsibilities
- Evaluate, scope, propose, and build software features that fulfill business and cybersecurity solution requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity researchers, engineers, product managers, leadership, and architecture teams to define and deliver product capabilities.
- Advance platform technologies, architecture design, and quality engineering processes.
- Develop APIs, cloud-native applications, asynchronous tasks and queues, and database-backed services.
- Troubleshoot production environments using observability and monitoring tools while following secure system architecture practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of Java programming experience and 4 years of object-oriented programming and design experience.
- At least 3 years of experience contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 3 years of experience with the Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with cloud-native application development, cloud technologies, databases, ORM frameworks such as Hibernate, and build automation tools such as Ant and Maven.
- Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs and developing in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of test-driven development, CI/CD tooling, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with asynchronous tasks or queues such as AMQ and Redis.
- Experience leading the delivery of complex software systems, distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, and professional software engineering practices across the software development life cycle is preferred.
- Ability to communicate with users, technical teams, and senior management about requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
