Responsibilities
- Analyze and report testing activities and results.
- Update defects in bug-tracking tools and collaborate with software developers to resolve them.
- Generate test cases and maintain automated test scripts and API tests.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing when needed.
- Participate in feature design and planning.
- Define and improve testing practices within the software development lifecycle.
- Inspect and debug production issues with software engineers.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of experience in a QA-related role.
- Require strong scripting and automation skills in Java or Python.
- Require a bachelor’s degree in computer software or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Require knowledge of test automation frameworks, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and manual testing.
- Require experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Require working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and a test-management tool such as Testiny.
- Require experience with automated testing and Agile development lifecycles.
- Require analytical, research, communication, English-language, detail-oriented, and learning skills.
- Prefer experience with Playwright or another UI automation framework.
- Prefer basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, defect tracking tools, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Bitbucket, performance testing, accessibility testing, cross-platform functional testing, and ELK log tools.
- Prefer experience applying AI tools to improve testing productivity.
