Responsibilities
- Architect and implement solutions in the queueing layer, state store, and execution layer.
- Plan and implement improvements on throughput and latency for high request volumes.
- Contribute to systems architecture and infrastructure changes as the company grows.
- Collaborate with team members to expose internal data across metrics stores and APIs.
- Work with backend engineers to design APIs for the Inngest cloud dashboard and other tools.
- Engage with users through GitHub, email, and Discord to gather feedback.
- Write technical specifications and documentation for users.
Requirements
- Several years of experience working on distributed systems.
- Professional experience with Go or similar statically typed languages for two years or more.
- Experience in architecting or designing systems that handle scale.
- Ability to understand engineering trade-offs and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of observing, monitoring, and maintaining designed systems.
- Appreciation for simplicity in design and implementation.
