Responsibilities
- Design and implement BIAN APIs and specifications.
- Lead high-performing API and cloud engineering teams.
- Own and govern solution designs using a Design to Run approach.
- Provide technical advice and consultation across business case, ideation, discovery, inception, and enhancement phases.
- Analyze current and target architectures and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and architecture standards.
- Collaborate with solution architects, functional SMEs, and upstream and downstream system representatives to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities across core product systems and data.
- Develop target-state architectures and communicate their features and benefits to technical and business management.
- Lead and influence business partners, peers, team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage technology risks in accordance with CommBank's risk mindset.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience building REST APIs.
- Experience deploying applications to web servers, preferably WebSphere.
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- A degree in computer science or a related field.
- Ability to lead API and cloud engineering teams and guide solution design.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, stakeholder engagement, and production-supportable systems.
