Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend API services using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React and Next.js.
- Implement end-to-end application logic connecting user interfaces, backend services, and data layers.
- Build REST, GraphQL, and event-driven integrations across internal and external systems.
- Implement secure API authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
- Work with relational databases, data access patterns, caching, session management, and application state.
- Apply automated testing, code reviews, observability, secure coding, troubleshooting, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, platform teams, AI and backend engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering standards, reusable components, delivery improvements, and vendor-to-internal capability transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience in production environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end applications including user interfaces, API services, and integrations.
- Strong Python and FastAPI development experience.
- Experience building front-end applications with React or Next.js.
- Understanding of API design, service-to-service communication, error handling, integration patterns, relational databases, ORM frameworks, and data modeling.
- Understanding of secure development practices including input validation, access control, and secrets handling.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, or API Gateway is desirable.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes deployments, front-end performance optimization, and UX best practices is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and delivery-oriented skills.
