Base Salary
$180k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes complex-system security improvements, TPMs, HSMs, TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols, and navigating large interactive systems.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced technical or engineering degree, strong communication skills, teamwork, independence, adaptability, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $180,000.00–$280,000.00 for Level 3, with additional potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase participation.
