Responsibilities

  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in the prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks and make directed adjustments, modifications, and replacements.
  • Interact with users, customers, and other developers in the Software Engineering directorate.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate STEM degree program at an accredited college or university and graduate after October 2027.
  • Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during October 2027.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred: cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Preferred: previous internship or co-op experience and demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, or professional/community/extracurricular involvement.

Benefits

  • Summer internship lasting at least 10 weeks and requiring 40 hours per week.
  • Position located in Melbourne, Florida; no relocation assistance is available.
  • Travel is required 10% of the time.
  • Intern pay is listed at $18.50-$33.50 per hour for undergraduate degrees and $26.25-$41.50 per hour for master's degrees.
