Base Salary
$240k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own LLVM backend development for a custom accelerator ISA across scalar, vector, and floating-point pipelines.
- Develop instruction selection, register allocation, scheduling, and linker support.
- Use and develop AI-assisted tool flows to accelerate compiler development and performance tuning.
- Debug correctness and performance regressions across the full compilation flow.
- Collaborate with chip-design and software teams from first silicon through scale-out.
Requirements
- 5+ years of compiler engineering experience with hands-on LLVM target development.
- Exceptional ability with LLVM backend internals, including TableGen, instruction selection, scheduling, and register allocation.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, ISA design, and compiler-hardware co-design.
- Ability to debug correctness and performance regressions across the full compilation flow.
- Optional qualifications include custom-ISA bring-up, MLIR experience, GPU or accelerator backends, and linker or loader work.
