Responsibilities
- Improve platform reliability through performance monitoring and relevant metrics.
- Own CI/CD procedures and standardize release processes using DevOps practices.
- Containerize and scale services to meet business needs.
- Monitor and manage hardware infrastructure and filesystems.
- Apply industry-standard security practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on new system design and existing system improvements.
- Participate in emergency response, capacity planning, change management, and efforts to reduce operational burden.
- Explore new open-source technologies and contribute as an active member of an agile engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent job experience.
- Passion for software engineering and interest in operating real-world applications at scale.
- Experience with Linux administration and Linux command-line programs.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Grafana, Prometheus, and Git.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Redis, Kafka, and other database or messaging technologies.
- Understanding of Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Demonstrated experience using Python, including understanding of Python idioms and limitations.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, attention to detail, written communication, verbal communication, and English-language skills.
- Prior financial-services experience is not required.
