Base Salary
$145k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of embedded networking software from requirements through production-ready firmware.
- Develop and optimize IGMP, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, multicast routing, Layer 2/3 switching, and low-latency network software.
- Lead board bring-up and collaborate with hardware teams to validate and integrate networking product designs.
- Analyze and improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of network resources for high-bandwidth video distribution.
- Support team members through design discussions and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for automated network testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience focused on networking hardware.
- Experience developing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches.
- Deep technical understanding of IGMP, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, and multicast routing.
- Expertise with embedded Linux operating systems, including kernel development and driver maturity.
- Advanced proficiency in C, C++, Python, and bash/sh.
- Understanding of embedded circuit design and PCB schematics, including ARM/x86 processors and network switch chipsets.
- Experience with Audio/Video libraries and libraries for 4K video distribution over IP.
