Base Salary
$145k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize software for mission-critical autonomous systems
- Develop algorithms for heterogeneous sensor processing, real-time state estimation, and threat detection
- Build LLM- and AI-driven systems that assess threats and support rapid response decisions
- Integrate sensors, effectors, and autonomous platforms
- Engineer scalable, reliable, and fail-safe systems for high-stakes environments
- Develop cloud and edge command-and-control software interfacing with onboard sensors and real-time systems
- Collaborate with robotics experts, hardware engineers, system integrators, and other multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- At least 2 years contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- At least 2 years of experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, C++, or Java
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
- Experience with autonomous systems, embedded systems, or robotics is valued
- Knowledge of AI/ML, sensor processing, swarm behaviors, LLM toolchains, and implementing agents in real-time data workflows is desirable
- Experience deploying and maintaining robust production systems
