Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and build of a structured-products trading UI using modern web development technologies.
- Design, document, and plan technical implementations and deliver working software into production.
- Act as a hands-on engineer and architect while leading project work and managing engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, product teams, UX experts, and engineering contributors.
- Build strategic client relationships, provide technical advice, and support follow-on business.
- Partner with business development on pitches, solution presentations, engagement terms, and client development.
- Contribute technical leadership and best practices to Lab49’s UI engineering practice.
- Support the development of management skills and career-planning practices across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software applications.
- Primary engineering focus on delivering user interfaces for digital products.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python or C# development.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making experience.
- Experience designing holistic technical solutions, integrating third-party services and APIs, and deploying applications to production.
- Experience collaborating with project teams and clients in finance, consulting, or startup environments.
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms and contemporary software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong understanding of testing, quality, continuous integration, source control, and code reviews.
- Experience in capital markets, financial markets or products, and consulting is highly desirable.
- Active interest in technology trends and participation in industry events, meetups, or similar activities.
