Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and create technical designs and documentation.
- Plan technical work, including task estimation, prioritization, and delivery.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and performant software and tooling.
- Design, implement, and operate AWS cloud solutions and cloud-native architectures.
- Automate cloud operations, API integrations, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply DevOps practices.
- Operate and troubleshoot cloud and production environments, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
- Support code reviews and ensure high-quality software deliveries.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, operations, customers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS solutions.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience using Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
- Strong Python or scripting skills for automation, cloud operations, API integration, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and RDS or DynamoDB.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security, least-privilege access, secrets management, network security, and secure deployment practices.
- Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and experience troubleshooting cloud and production environments.
- Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account architecture, AWS Landing Zones, Helm, Argo CD, FluxCD, Terraform modules and state management, serverless and event-driven architectures, DynamoDB or MongoDB, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, cloud migration, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and Azure.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, planning, collaboration, mentoring, and continuous-learning skills.
