Base Salary
$37k - $82k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for satellite ground systems.
- Research and implement advanced software technologies.
- Work with engineers, architects, and development teams.
- Implement AI/ML processing tools and software algorithms as needed.
- Model and simulate complex satellite systems to understand mission performance.
- Perform system trade studies and improve software efficiency.
- Develop production software as part of a software development team.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline and remain actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
- Knowledge of data structures.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- An active and existing TS/SCI security clearance is required after day one.
- Preferred: experience programming in C++ and Python.
- Preferred: experience with Agile development.
- Preferred: interest in satellite ground-system software and related technologies, including mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight-dynamics models.
