Base Salary

$37k - $82k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for satellite ground systems.
  • Research and implement advanced software technologies.
  • Work with engineers, architects, and development teams.
  • Implement AI/ML processing tools and software algorithms as needed.
  • Model and simulate complex satellite systems and perform system trade studies.
  • Improve software efficiency and develop production software as part of a software development team.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline and remain actively enrolled through completion of the internship or co-op session.
  • Must have at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship or co-op session.
  • Must have experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
  • Must have knowledge of data structures.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance; the posting states that an active and existing security clearance is required after day one.
  • Preferred: experience programming with C++ and Python.
  • Preferred: Agile development experience and interest in satellite ground-system software, mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight-dynamics models.

  • Potential eligibility for a $10,000 signing bonus and an additional $10,000 signing bonus upon conversion to full-time employment, subject to applicable conditions.
