Base Salary

$107k - $216k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement technology solutions for Fidelity’s Capital Markets Regulatory Reporting business.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, timely, maintainable software and write code for product features.
  • Build and support large reporting platforms, APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workers, and resilient messaging services.
  • Work with high-volume equity and options trading data to generate CAT 605 and 606 reports for FINRA.
  • Support software design, releases, automation, and on-premises and cloud-based deployments.
  • Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on business-critical initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members and agile teams.
  • Contribute to organizational innovation, productivity improvements, and multiple parallel releases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of software engineering experience is required.
  • Extensive experience with KDB+ and large reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Python, Java, SQL, and Control-M.
  • Working knowledge of relational and time-series databases and experience managing high-volume datasets.
  • Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workers, and resilient messaging services.
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and on-premises and cloud-based deployments.
  • Ability to build reliable software, provide leadership and mentorship, and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Experience with capital markets or cryptocurrency, particularly trading or algorithmic trading, is preferred or relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or iterative development processes; acceptance test-driven development is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
