Base Salary
$245k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision for the domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational, scalable, and performant solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Lead cross-divisional projects and architectural reviews.
- Provide hands-on technical contributions while mentoring engineers and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Create communications, code samples, blog posts, and other materials to share technical knowledge.
- Balance multiple projects and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years with software engineering, solution architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years coding in languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred experience includes 8+ years with databases and database management systems and 10+ years across the full system development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 10+ years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integrations.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
