$197k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect application frameworks, windowing systems, code generation, OS integration, and extensibility for Roblox Studio.
- Design and execute the technical direction for the application’s future extensibility and adaptability.
- Build central backend systems that support a consistent, high-performance user experience.
- Develop scalable AI-native systems for complex, agentic use cases.
- Own complex technical projects from ideation through full execution.
- Collaborate across teams and platforms to solve systemic challenges.
- Mentor team members and foster high-level technical expertise and professional growth.
- Collaborate with UX designers to evolve Studio’s design language.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing and deploying top-tier, user-facing applications.
- At least 2 years of deep experience with C++.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with UI frameworks or technologies such as React, SwiftUI, Cocoa, Swift, or WPF is a significant plus.
- Ability to manage complex technical work, improve code quality systematically, and collaborate across teams.
Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $196,750–$243,290 USD for roles based at the San Mateo headquarters.
- Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
- Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
