Responsibilities
- Own the software-factory roadmap and technical direction, including architecture, tooling decisions, standards, and golden paths.
- Build and operate shared CI/CD capabilities for reusable build, test, scan, sign, and deployment workflows.
- Embed vulnerability scanning, security policies, risk thresholds, and automated release decisions throughout pipelines.
- Operate versioning, environment promotion, release gates, and expedited but gated hotfix pipelines.
- Automate dependency updates, dependency health tracking, SBOM generation, artifact signing, and provenance verification.
- Build self-service internal developer-platform capabilities for environment provisioning, onboarding, documentation, and support.
- Author and test production infrastructure-as-code modules and enforce policy-as-code across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Operate vulnerability management, identity and access operations, secrets lifecycle management, and continuously updated compliance evidence.
- Build agentic workflows for pipeline triage, dependency orchestration, and routine support while enforcing autonomous-action guardrails.
- Mentor engineers and align Architecture, SRE, Cloud Operations, and Product Development around the platform roadmap.
Requirements
- 8+ years of production engineering experience with recent hands-on work.
- Recent hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipeline platforms at production scale.
- Practical experience configuring security scanning in pipelines and driving vulnerabilities to closure within deadlines.
- Experience authoring and testing infrastructure-as-code with production modules.
- Demonstrated ownership of release, dependency, or vulnerability-management outcomes with measurable results.
- Fluency in scripting and automation with a focus on eliminating manual toil.
- Preferred qualifications include supply-chain security involving signing, SBOMs, provenance, or SLSA; internal developer-platform design; release-gate or release-train ownership; and agentic delivery automation such as AWS Agent Core or equivalent with AI or LLM security practice.
