Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy Cohere’s AI-powered agents and applications.
- Design data and retrieval architectures that provide AI agents with relevant context across diverse healthcare sources.
- Design, review, and own high-quality agentic code.
- Lead releases, production deployments, and on-call support.
- Collaborate with ML/data science, product, clinical, and architecture teams to translate requirements into reliable systems.
- Ensure agentic components comply with healthcare security and privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
- Contribute to sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives while aligning engineering work with product and business priorities.
- Shape engineering standards, frameworks, or libraries used across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of software development lifecycle experience.
- Experience with popular agent frameworks and language models.
- Expertise in one or more modern programming languages.
- Experience with AI architectures, multi-agent systems, RAG, and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience shaping engineering standards, frameworks, or libraries used across multiple teams.
- Experience with a cloud platform, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with human-in-the-loop system design and AI safety considerations in production is preferred.
- Experience with graph-based or multimodal data retrieval for AI reasoning is preferred.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Hyderabad, Telangana is preferred.
