Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end highly available and scalable AWS infrastructure.
- Design, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes and Amazon EKS platforms.
- Improve production reliability through observability, automation, and SLOs.
- Build and operate CI/CD systems for safe, fast, and repeatable deployments.
- Define and enforce infrastructure through Terraform and deployment workflows.
- Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
- Raise operational standards through automation, documentation, and best practices.
Requirements
- Deep AWS expertise spanning networking, compute, IAM, scaling, and security.
- Strong experience managing infrastructure with Terraform at scale.
- Very strong Kubernetes fundamentals, including internals, scheduling, networking, and storage.
- Hands-on experience operating Amazon EKS in production and troubleshooting complex Kubernetes issues.
- Ability to write maintainable, production-quality code in Go or Python.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, ArgoCD, and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
- Strong understanding of observability principles, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
- Experience with Datadog or a similar tool for infrastructure and Kubernetes monitoring, APM, alerting, dashboards, and incident detection.
- Experience defining and using SLIs and SLOs to drive reliability decisions.
- Ability to turn observability data into actionable operational improvements.
