Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical vision for intelligent networking, distributed systems, real-time data processing, agentic AI, and machine learning capabilities.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations across the software development lifecycle.
- Design and build scalable data pipelines, distributed microservices, agentic solutions, and integrations with networking systems.
- Participate hands-on in design reviews, code reviews, implementation, technical discussions, and strategy development.
- Mentor and develop engineers, establish technical direction, and foster engineering excellence.
- Improve system architecture, engineering processes, performance, resilience, security, observability, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of software development lifecycle experience, including architecture, design, coding, reviews, testing, build processes, deployment, and production operations.
- 7+ years of programming experience with at least one general-purpose language, preferably Python, Java, Go, or C++.
- 3+ years of experience leading the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems, preferably on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with real-time microservices, stream processing, distributed data platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI or agentic systems, network telemetry, or large-scale analytics.
- Experience designing high-volume, high-velocity data systems with demanding scalability, availability, latency, and reliability requirements.
- Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Ability to solve complex, ambiguous technical problems and deliver pragmatic production-ready solutions.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Experience with generative AI or agentic systems, including tool use, planning, memory, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Preferred: Experience with networking, network management, observability, telemetry, cloud infrastructure, distributed control-plane systems, and large-scale real-world datasets.
- Preferred: Experience with Kafka, Spark, Flink, PySpark, MapReduce, or comparable distributed data technologies.
