Responsibilities
- Build extensible, maintainable production features for AI experiences at enterprise scale.
- Design and develop AI capabilities including container execution, image generation, multimodal interactions, agentic systems, and computer/tool-use capabilities.
- Review peer code and tests for coverage, quality, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to architecture and design documents while addressing performance, scalability, resiliency, cost, and cross-team dependencies.
- Create test plans, automate testing, prevent regressions, and cover security invariants and negative cases.
- Automate build and deployment, follow safe rollout and rollback practices, and use feature flags to measure impact.
- Serve as an on-call DRI, mitigate incidents within SLA, conduct retrospectives, and improve telemetry, troubleshooting guides, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field plus 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: master’s degree plus 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
