Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with assigned engineering tasks, design details, calculations, research, and data gathering.
- Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision.
- Develop software using C/C++ and Python on Linux, with some experience on Windows.
- Apply multithreading and multiprocessing concepts to assigned work.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and follow basic work instructions.
- Support engineering methods, programs, practices, and the organization’s mission and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Engineering student with some progress toward an engineering degree.
- Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux, with some experience on Windows.
- Good understanding of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
- Good interpersonal, networking, diligence, adaptability, and learning skills.
- Preferred: experience developing embedded Linux drivers for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces.
- Preferred: experience with Git, defect-tracking tools such as Jira, peer code reviews, and modern software development practices.
