Responsibilities
- Apply computer science, engineering, mathematical analysis, digital signal processing, communication systems, and software engineering concepts to embedded software development.
- Develop and test embedded real-time control software and firmware for advanced tactical radio equipment.
- Analyze requirements and design, implement, integrate, and test software across the development life cycle.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, documentation, and operating data; conduct experimental tests and evaluate results.
- Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces and operational performance requirements with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair defects.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts and sciences, or a related field.
- Applicants may alternatively have completed the required master's degree within the last 12 months.
- Understand time-domain versus frequency-domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithms.
- Preferred experience with one or more listed programming languages, platforms, operating systems, embedded systems, real-time controls, wireless technologies, robotics, or related tools.
