Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, and evaluate embedded software and hardware/software interfaces for mission computing systems.
- Perform C/C++ software development using existing tools and support software, systems, and requirements architecture activities.
- Develop and use Python-based test frameworks, software coverage tools, and test automation.
- Support mission systems integration architecture and customer deployments.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams on complex systems involving mission computing, memory systems, and displays.
- Participate in software design and architecture reviews, hardware/software integration, verification, and validation.
- Travel to customer sites as required by the program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or at least 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of embedded development experience and 3 years of C++ systems development experience are preferred.
- Experience with hardware/software integration and testing, APIs, BSPs, drivers, OpenGL, health and status systems, and software/hardware co-design is preferred.
- Experience with avionics lifecycle execution, embedded security, encryption, safety-critical software, and DO-178B or later standards is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Bash, Python, Intel x86, ARM, FPGA, SoC, GPP, GPU, embedded system design, release engineering, configuration management, and debug/trace analysis is preferred.
- Experience with VxWorks, LynxOS, Integrity, SELinux, software integration, testing, verification, and validation is preferred.
- Knowledge of network storage, Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand, and authentication schemes including RADIUS and LDAP is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
Benefits
- 9/80 schedule totaling 80 hours over nine working days, with every other Friday off.
- No immediate travel is expected, though customer-site travel may be required based on the program.
