Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and improve DevOps processes, tools, automation scripts, and deployment workflows.
- Support fully automated CI/CD pipelines using enterprise container and virtualization platforms.
- Automate application deployments and manage virtualized and containerized assets.
- Create and maintain virtual and physical network configurations, servers, communications, and developer/test engineering support environments.
- Monitor, install, maintain, and troubleshoot networked virtual machines, containers, software applications, and technical systems.
- Collect, process, and present build, network, security, and performance metrics.
- Configure, version-control, back up, and maintain scripts and other work products.
- Lead small projects involving research or implementation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with developers, integration engineers, and test engineers on changes affecting development and testing.
- Train others on DevOps and automation tasks and maintain corporate knowledge-library content.
Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
- IAT Level II or greater certification or qualification.
- Security+ certification is required within six months of hire; CISSP or another equivalent certification is acceptable, and additional certifications are preferred.
- Understanding of commercial DevOps tools and processes.
- Ability to write, test, debug, deploy, and sustain automation, administration, data-collection, and reporting scripts in multiple languages.
- Ability to manage configuration, version control, and backups for scripts and work products.
- Ability to solve technical problems across integrated software and hardware platforms and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, training, and technical reporting skills.
- Preferred: three years of work experience.
- Preferred experience with Atlassian tools, Jenkins Pipelines, Puppet, JFrog Artifactory, Git, Harbor, Kustomize, VMware vCenter, VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and Ansible.
- U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance are required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
