Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal platform tools and services.
- Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and data models supporting platform capabilities across multiple products.
- Develop frontend experiences for internal tools using React and Next.js.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, Platform, Infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering teams.
- Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot applications using logging, metrics, and observability tools.
- Support software deployments through CI/CD pipelines and help maintain healthy production environments.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and improvements to engineering workflows.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with guidance from senior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education or practical experience.
- Demonstrated programming experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, open-source contributions, or up to two years of professional software development experience.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Exposure to React or other modern web development frameworks.
- Basic understanding of databases and software development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Git and software testing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous-learning skills.
- Preferred qualifications include web application or internal-tool project experience, AWS exposure, familiarity with CI/CD workflows, and experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
