Responsibilities
- Develop and implement image-processing algorithms for camera systems.
- Perform system modeling, signal analysis, and imaging-sensor characterization.
- Develop features using classical digital signal processing methods and/or machine-learning models.
- Design and verify FPGA-based modules using MATLAB and Simulink or GPU-based modules using CUDA and other tools.
- Collaborate with project teams to define image-processing design architecture and ensure product quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support existing product lines and perform competitive evaluations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a signal-processing emphasis or equivalent experience.
- 10–12 years of experience in image processing or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of medical-device quality-system regulations and standards.
- Experience with real-time algorithm development using MATLAB and Simulink, FPGA, and/or GPU design tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Image Processing or Digital Signal Processing is preferred.
- Experience with C, C++, CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL, or OpenCV is preferred.
- Familiarity with endoscopy and digital-system design is preferred.
- Visual acuity sufficient for testing and ability to sit for extended periods and lift video equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds.
