Responsibilities
- Own software projects from ideation through deployment.
- Design and build systems that enable new products, integrations, and revenue opportunities.
- Improve existing clearing and securities finance systems with meaningful, tangible outcomes.
- Support infrastructure for offerings such as Fully Paid Securities Lending.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and improve system reliability by eliminating recurring issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams and influence technical and operational decisions.
Requirements
- Have at least five years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed systems.
- Be productive with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Have foundational knowledge of computer systems, the internet, databases, and distributed systems.
- Be able to design effective RESTful APIs and identify problematic API designs.
- Demonstrate ownership, attention to detail, sound judgment, and willingness to lead projects.
- Be interested in traditional financial markets and take responsibility for systems handling entrusted funds.
- Startup experience is required by the posting.
- Experience with securities clearing and settlement or securities finance is preferred.
- Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Temporal, Grafana, Kafka or Redpanda, Helm, and Docker is preferred.
