Base Salary
$115k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, deploy, and maintain test framework, automation, and control tools for verification test stands.
- Develop and operate software for configuration, diagnosis, calibration, data management, visualization, and user interaction.
- Industrialize prototype test benches into stable, scalable, repeatable end-of-line manufacturing test systems.
- Refactor and improve test code to reduce execution times and false failures and strengthen error handling.
- Debug, maintain, and improve existing test systems while troubleshooting production station issues and minimizing manufacturing downtime.
- Perform hands-on test stand development, system design, execution, and analysis.
- Integrate and deploy custom mechatronic systems, robotic hardware, motion controllers, and automated test fixtures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience integrating and deploying custom mechatronic systems for real-world applications.
- Strong interest in software systems that interact with robotic hardware and cross-disciplinary knowledge of electromechanical actuation systems.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for debugging and automation scripting.
- Strong understanding of databases and SQL.
- Experience with Linux-based systems and version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with integrating collaborative robots, robotic arms such as Universal Robots and FANUC, or motion controllers and actuators with automated test fixtures.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills and the ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.
- Preferred experience includes robotics, aerospace, precision actuators, high-performance electromechanical systems, LabVIEW, TestStand, Arena, Enovia, SPC, yield tracking, MES integration, PLC and industrial automation programming, firmware, and camera calibration.
