Base Salary
$113k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux systems, including installation, configuration, user and permission management, networking, and maintenance.
- Manage hardware with tools such as iDRAC, including BIOS updates, firmware upgrades, RAID configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot issues across operating systems, hardware, networks, applications, and data flows.
- Use UNIX utilities to manipulate, package, and prepare files for constrained transfer paths.
- Support configuration management and build automation workflows using Salt or related tools.
- Build, deploy, or maintain Cross Domain Solutions and other high-assurance boundary security technologies.
- Support Splunk applications, dashboards, data routing, and analytics as the team’s Splunk subject matter expert.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Qualifying education and experience include 7 years with a high school diploma/GED, 5 years with an associate degree, 3 years with a bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a master’s degree.
- Splunk Accredited Core Implementation certification is required.
- Experience is required with Linux system administration, hardware management, complex troubleshooting, UNIX utilities, Salt or related automation tools, Cross Domain Solutions, and Splunk applications and analytics.
- Experience with at least four of JavaScript, Regular Expressions, REST services, Python frameworks, Elasticsearch or Splunk, monitoring tools, Apache NiFi, React or Angular, Ansible/Salt/Docker, and Cribl is required.
- Advanced Linux, hardware lifecycle, Salt customization, adjacent automation frameworks, CDS configuration, air-gapped Splunk integration, DevOps workflows, and distributed-systems experience are preferred.
