Responsibilities
- Architect and build APIs and services for OpenGov’s data and reporting platform.
- Define and drive the technical strategy for AI integration across products.
- Establish AI-augmented engineering practices and evaluate AI development tools.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of features from design to production monitoring.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural choices for platform scale.
- Mentor senior engineers and shape an AI-fluent engineering culture.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building production software with end-to-end ownership.
- Deep experience with distributed systems, API design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Fluency across the stack, including React/TypeScript, Node.js, and databases.
- Experience leading technical direction across multiple teams without formal authority.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features.
- Active use of AI-assisted development tools and a perspective on their impact.
