Base Salary

$98k - $211k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the DIVER, BDSQL, METASTOR, and FASTOLA software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy.
  • Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to software development best practices.
  • Support production systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Identify and resolve technical risks, cross-team dependencies, and infrastructure maintenance challenges.
  • Develop and improve cloud infrastructure, data storage, software systems, and operational processes.
  • Help define and deliver short-, mid-, and long-term team goals.
  • Build collaborative relationships with senior internal and external partners and demonstrate FINRA’s values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with at least five years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and data structures.
  • Strong experience with big data engineering, object-oriented development, system design, cloud technologies, and data storage technologies.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization, DevOps and CI/CD technologies, test automation, unit testing, and software security.
  • Experience designing and developing software with AWS services, programming languages, databases, APIs, and frontend technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on broad, complex problems requiring judgment, creativity, and technical decision-making.
