Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ZURU static and marketing websites and web applications with React.
- Extend, maintain, and keep Node.js backends healthy, including REST/API integrations.
- Own existing web codebases and improve their quality and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with product designers to translate designs into production and advise on technical feasibility.
- Rapidly prototype ideas and bring successful concepts to production.
- Review and quality-gate web code, including code produced with AI coding agents.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem, including TypeScript, modern build tooling, state management, and routing.
- Experience building static websites and performant web applications using technologies such as Next.js or similar.
- Working experience with Node.js backends and REST/API integration.
- Ability to understand and maintain codebases written by others.
- Strong product sense and a collaborative approach to working with designers.
- Daily fluent use of AI coding tools and the judgment to critically review their output.
- Preferred qualifications include React Native or other mobile/native development exposure, experience working closely with designers, startup or self-shipped product experience, and CI/CD, hosting, or deployment experience.
