Base Salary
$155k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI and agent-first products and features across the full software stack.
- Design and build agents using prompts, context, tools, and model reasoning to generate content and automate processes.
- Own software quality from architecture through release, including scalability, maintainability, observability, functional validation, model-based evaluations, and agent tracing.
- Incorporate agentic engineering techniques across planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Partner with designers, product managers, stakeholders, and engineering leaders to define, prototype, scope, prioritize, and deliver product features.
- Share engineering knowledge and agentic development practices while championing AI solutions for engineering and product work.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience as a Software Engineer building enterprise-scale applications.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python and familiarity with React, Next.js, or Rails.
- Broad full-stack ownership and the ability to direct agents across frontend and backend development.
- Strong understanding of data schemas, databases, APIs, AWS infrastructure, performance testing, logging, and monitoring; Golang is preferred but not required.
- Hands-on experience building AI- and agent-powered features and systems using frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Experience working AI-first by delegating implementation to agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, or Pi, reviewing results, and guiding architecture.
- Understanding of the strengths and limitations of frontier and open-weight models.
- Experience with continuous delivery through feature flagging and trunk-based development.
- Experience deploying or fine-tuning open-weight models, using agent orchestration frameworks, or working with distributed messaging or event-streaming systems such as Kafka is helpful.
