Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable software solutions for global B2B2C platforms.
- Drive architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and platform services.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions with Product, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
- Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, modernization initiatives, and long-term platform roadmap planning.
- Design resilient services and integrations with internal and third-party platforms.
- Improve application reliability, performance, observability, operational excellence, scalability, maintainability, and developer productivity.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis across distributed systems.
- Lead complex technical initiatives and execution across multiple initiatives without direct people-management responsibility.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience implementing distributed systems and designing scalable software architectures.
- Strong experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Experience building frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Experience with Snowflake, MySQL, Neo4j, Kafka, OpenSearch, and other database or data technologies.
- Experience designing microservices and APIs using REST, HTTP, and OAuth.
- Comfort with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience using log analysis and monitoring tools to investigate production issues and improve reliability.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, domain modeling, scalable system design, data modeling, schema optimization, large datasets, and high-volume systems.
- Ability to mobilize engineering teams around a technical vision and balance immediate business needs with long-term platform investments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder-influence, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
- Interest in music, technology, and systems that support artists and creators.
