Responsibilities
- Build and design next-generation Stripe products for company and customer growth.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and multiple stack levels.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to build large-scale features and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Work effectively in a distributed and hybrid team.
Requirements
- Requires 2–10+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
- Strong coding skills in any programming language.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute across workstreams and support peers.
- Ability to work with substantial autonomy and responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Interest in backend specialization across varying technologies and stacks.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale financial tracking systems.
- Preferred: practical knowledge of cloud-based services.
- Preferred: experience with or enthusiasm for AI and agentic workflows.
