Responsibilities
- Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end across multiple layers of architecture.
- Architect and develop scalable applications and systems.
- Design and implement durable, secure, maintainable software solutions that solve critical customer problems and integrate with other systems.
- Provide recommendations and best practices for application, platform, and developer-tool development.
- Partner with global teams across time zones and communicate effectively with employees, customers, management, and executives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance software applications with AI technology.
- Launch AI integrations in production and evaluate their impact using appropriate performance and user-satisfaction metrics.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers on software engineering practices, AI-enabled application development, and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
- Experience writing scalable application code with accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation considerations.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and web and mobile design constraints.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
- Proficiency in JavaScript application design and testing.
- Proficiency in mid-tier languages such as Java.
- Experience with test automation, including unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience with relational database design and implementation, including SQL and NoSQL databases and analytics.
- Interest in building CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience developing applications with microservices, container technologies, and container management systems such as Kubernetes and Mesos.
- Experience in utility computing or cloud computing, and in building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
- Experience building or integrating functional AI models using techniques such as LLM prompting and AutoML modeling.
- Skill in evaluating and monitoring AI technology performance in production and making necessary adjustments.
- In-depth understanding of AI integration and ability to lead integration efforts while coaching junior engineers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
