Base Salary
$164k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical design and architectural decisions while mentoring engineers and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead and contribute to multiple projects, owning key initiatives and supporting broader team efforts.
- Build and maintain robust, low-latency APIs and backend services for Trust and Safety platforms.
- Become a domain expert in platform architecture and provide technical solutions for maturing platforms.
- Partner with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to ship member protection and experience features.
- Improve platform reliability and performance through system architecture, observability practices, and automation.
- Evolve experimentation, policy lifecycle, and ML integration capabilities for scalable decision-making.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents outside regular working hours when necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale.
- Experience serving as a technical lead for a team and complex projects, including architectural decisions, execution coordination, and cross-functional alignment.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
- Experience with transactional databases and caching systems.
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns for large-scale web applications.
- Commitment to mentoring engineers and fostering team development.
- Appreciation for maintainable and well-tested code.
- Curiosity and passion for system architectures and technical challenges.
- Experience in fast-paced or early-stage environments is a strong plus.

- Base salary begins at $164,000.00 and goes up to $227,000.00, with eligibility for a bonus, equity package, and benefits.
