Responsibilities
- Compare Nix, devcontainers, and traditional approaches for development environments and CI.
- Evaluate threat models for Nix compared with Docker.
- Compare Nix+Bazel with plain Bazel for dependency management.
- Explore linking optimizations made possible by Nix.
- Evaluate how Nix and NixOS can be integrated into Ericsson’s current software development environment and build systems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Interest in software development, build systems, or development environments.
- Curiosity about Nix, NixOS, Bazel, Docker, or devcontainers.
- Ability and interest in investigating technical problems and evaluating different approaches.
