Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain customer-facing data intelligence applications from database query contracts through interactive UI components.
- Build and own shared application API layers that compose platform services and published data models into stable contracts.
- Design caching, materialization, pagination, and streaming strategies for complex analytics on cloud data warehouses.
- Create custom interactive data visualizations and reusable visualization patterns for benchmarking and peer-comparison products.
- Implement natural-language and LLM-driven interfaces with retrieval workflows, tool integration, structured outputs, streaming, and latency and cost evaluation.
- Define application architecture and engineering standards, drive testing discipline, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building data-dense web applications, custom interactive visualizations, and customer-facing products.
- Deep production experience with TypeScript across React and Next.js clients and Node.js servers using Fastify, Express, or NestJS.
- Hands-on experience creating custom interactive visualizations with D3.js and tools such as Visx, ECharts, or Vega-Lite, using SVG, Canvas, or WebGL as appropriate.
- Strong analytical SQL skills and experience designing materialization and caching strategies over columnar cloud warehouses.
- Expertise with client-side caching, request coalescing, streaming, and table virtualization, including tools such as TanStack Query or SWR.
- Experience building reusable abstractions such as shared API layers, component libraries, or design systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related technical field.
- Experience integrating LLMs into production workflows, implementing multi-tenant authorization, or running microservices on AWS is preferred.
- Healthcare or benchmarking domain knowledge, fluent English, and a product-focused, UX-driven approach are valued; German is a plus.
