Responsibilities
- Develop deployable software solutions that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
- Support systems engineers on AI/ML research projects for civilian and military programmes.
- Build scalable pipelines involving APIs, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and orchestration frameworks.
- Curate datasets, manage embeddings, and support secure, private, and responsible AI practices.
- Design, test, and systematically improve prompts while measuring LLM accuracy, bias, and robustness.
- Contribute to software delivery across the full software life cycle in regulated environments.
Requirements
- Practical experience delivering high-integrity software products within a regulated environment.
- Experience and passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow and tools for model integration.
- Strong foundation in transformer architectures, tokenisation, embeddings, and fine-tuning large language models.
- Experience with scalable pipelines, APIs, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and orchestration frameworks.
- Awareness of AI agents, governance, security, compliance, high-performance computing, parallel processing, and mathematical libraries for signal, image, and data processing.
- Ability to work on Agile projects across the full software life cycle.
