Base Salary
$141k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ for encrypted communications systems.
- Develop software for Layer 2 and Layer 3 network encryptors, embedded cryptographic devices, and emerging cryptographic solutions.
- Use Linux in embedded environments and develop or modify Linux kernel drivers and bare-metal embedded device drivers.
- Work with microprocessors and embedded processors such as NIOS, ARM, and RISC-V.
- Design and implement RESTConf interfaces, emulation environments, networking protocols, and standalone embedded applications.
- Develop in Python and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with system, test, and hardware engineers.
- Develop, test, and certify the Next Generation Encryptor high-speed encryptor for government enterprise networks.
- Plan, track, and report on progress, with up to 10% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of embedded software design and implementation experience with C/C++.
- At least two years of Linux operating system experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Experience using Rust, TCP/IP and common network configuration, and object-oriented software development.
- US citizenship and an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Experience with or familiarity in Linux kernel drivers, bare-metal embedded device drivers, NIOS, ARM, RISC-V, RESTConf, emulation environments, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, Python, Rust, and standalone embedded applications is preferred.
- Experience with Agile Scrum, CI/CD software, progress reporting, and strong oral and written communication skills.
