Base Salary
$141k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ for encrypted communications systems.
- Develop and modify Linux kernel drivers and work with bare-metal embedded device drivers.
- Work with embedded processors and microprocessors, including NIOS, ARM, and RISC-V.
- Design and implement RESTConf interfaces and develop standalone embedded applications.
- Work with TCP/IP, network configuration, and protocols including IPSec, MACsec, and TLS.
- Develop Python and Rust software and use emulation environments.
- Collaborate with system, test, and hardware engineers to develop and transition new capabilities into service.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams developing, testing, and certifying the Next Generation Encryptor.
- Plan, track, and report on project progress and travel up to 10% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded software design and implementation experience using C/C++.
- At least 2 years of Linux experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Experience using Rust, object-oriented software development, and CI/CD software.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and common network configuration.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel and bare-metal driver experience; NIOS, ARM, or RISC-V experience; RESTConf, emulation, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, Python, Rust, and standalone embedded application experience.
