Base Salary
$115k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded real-time software for mission-critical communications and defense systems.
- Collaborate on operational performance requirements, software and hardware interfaces, and system design.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.
- Create software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Develop, review, troubleshoot, and repair software across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and resolve defects.
- Provide occasional customer support travel of approximately 5%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of related experience.
- Experience with embedded real-time software development using VxWorks and Linux.
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and knowledge of modern object-oriented design principles.
- Expertise in high-performance, multithreaded programming and multiple programming languages, compilers, and application execution techniques.
- Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets using an RTOS.
- Knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, networking fundamentals, and protocols including IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, and SNMP.
- Strong communication, presentation, writing, collaboration, learning, and adaptability skills.
- Professional experience with the Department of Defense or intelligence community is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
