Service Reliability Engineer
BitdefenderResponsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and maintain software systems for high availability and performance.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and develop tools for monitoring system performance and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with software development teams to deploy and operate reliable, scalable services.
- Respond to incidents and outages, participate in 24x7 on-call support, and complete post-incident analysis.
- Document business processes, business rules, and SRE best practices.
- Perform usage and cost-allocation audits, support release roadmap planning, and conduct chaos engineering activities.
- Perform load testing and capacity management and provide training on third-party platform competencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS and GCP.
- Experience in Agile development environments and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
