Base Salary
$160k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture discussions during feature development and ensure reliable, performant project execution.
- Develop full-stack software with an approximate 60% backend and 40% frontend focus.
- Improve engineering-team workflows and optimize component latency and throughput.
- Monitor systems at scale and guide incident response and vulnerability remediation.
- Mentor engineers on software-engineering best practices and advocate for maintainable, flexible code patterns.
- Collaborate with Product Management to scope and execute product features.
- Build configurable product and platform capabilities for foster care and other social-service workflows.
- Champion security and privacy, including easier HIPAA compliance for sensitive data.
- Deliver accessible, intuitive product experiences and support projects from inception through completion.
Requirements
- Experience leading and coordinating large infrastructure and architecture projects and rollouts.
- Strong full-stack programming foundations and end-to-end experience building, shipping, and maintaining products.
- Experience with product development on web applications is strongly favored.
- Ability to architect, build, and maintain configurable systems and deliver products from ideation through implementation.
- Knowledge of project management and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, technical account management, and policy teams.
- Experience with configurable enterprise software or government-facing software is a strong positive.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, judgment, and comfort with a startup and MVP-oriented environment.
- Excitement to use modern tools and AI to improve efficiency and output quality.
